Summertime is fruit juice dripping down your chin.
Sweet, local organic figs and plums are in the store now! Buy a soft Desert King fig to melt in your mouth on your way home, plus some firmer ones to ripen up over the next few days. Juicy, sweet, ready-to-eat Shiro plums, too! R&M Organics fruit is organically grown on a 40-year-old working farm just over a mile from the co-op. These fig and plum trees are over 30 years old. The harvest is just starting, so if we're out by the time you shop, try again later in the week or over the next few weeks. Usually delivered Tuesdays and Fridays. Last year’s fig season lasted three weeks. Grab a napkin!
